On 15 May, Ambassador Igor Morgulov wrote to the Russian Ambassador to China, reporting on the team's research on the history of the modernisation of agriculture in Beidahuang and the development of the state-run Friendship Farm.

In his reply, the Ambassador acknowledged the work carried out by the team, noting that the tradition of friendship between the Russian and Chinese peoples continues to this day and is the link between the two countries. The "Friendship Farm", established in 1955 in Heilongjiang Province with the participation of Soviet experts, is a model of agricultural development in the People's Republic of China. He expressed his gratitude to the team for preserving the memories of Russian compatriots working in China.
The Ambassador described the state of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, culture and youth exchanges since the beginning of the new century. He was confident that with the implementation of the goals set by the leaders of the two countries regarding the active development of bilateral trade, economic, scientific and technological and humanistic ties, Russian-speaking graduates from Chinese universities will have great prospects.
The Ambassador expressed his hope that the team would work hard to promote friendship and understanding between the two peoples and wished all participants of the "Friendship Farm" research project every success in their studies and research.

The team is guided by Zhang Sheng, Dean of the School of History and Distinguished Professor of Changjiang Scholars, Dr. He Xin, Assistant Researcher of the School of History, and Wang Enhui, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Committee of the School of History. In the summer of 2022, with the theme of "Tracing the Road of Agricultural Modernization", the team conducted research on Youyi Farm, the largest state-owned modern farm in China, systematically collecting historical information on the farm and visiting modern production areas such as the second team of the fifth branch of the farm.
